Today on Around the Horn the LA sports columnist Bill Plaschke called out the Olympics and the various Olympic committees for telling their athletes not to criticize the Chinese government while in country, which is exactly the thing that they shouldn't be doing. The Olympics should be pressing the Chinese for more openness and more freedom in exchange for the Beijing games.
Instead, they are falling in line with the PC crowd here, who are afraid to criticize any country not their own. I wonder if the next time the Olympics are held on our soil if we could get reciprocity.
