Ah, the Barack Obama We've Been Waiting For

At tonight's Dem debate, Obama made the statement that our forces in Afghanistan are forced to capture and use enemy ammunition because we've got them so poorly equipped.

While I don't doubt our guys have at some point fired enemy weapons, I do find it hard to believe that our rifles and sidearms are compatible with whatever the Taliban and al-Qaeda are using, especially since most of their stuff is probably Soviet Bloc, either AK-47 or AK-74s, one of which uses 7.62 rounds and the other which uses 5.45 rounds.

In case you're wondering, our M16 and M4 carbine rifles use 5.56 rounds.

Of course, nobody will call him on this. He'll continue to get the free pass that he, as a tabula rasa, has become accustomed to. He, after all, is the chosen one. Just ask Oprah. Obamessiah may not be questioned.
